West Pitnacree Solar Farm

Introduction

Welcome to the project website for greentech’s proposal to develop a solar farm called West Pitnacree Solar Farm in Perthshire, located west of Alyth.

We have submitted a planning application to Perth & Kinross Council and the application was validated in May 2025, with reference number 25/00663/FLM.  We would like to take this opportunity to thank local residents and community representatives for their input and feedback on the proposal to date.

An opportunity to view the application documents and make a formal representation can be made to Perth & Kinross Council via the Council’s Planning Portal, using reference number 25/00663/FLM

We held exhibitions on Tuesday 11th March 2025 and Thursday 27th March 2025 (both 2.30pm - 7.30pm) in Alyth Town Hall, Albert Street, PH11 8AX.

A Proposal of Application Notice (PoAN) was submitted to Perth & Kinross Council in February 2025 to start a formal consultation process on our plans before a possible submission of a planning application, expected later in 2025. We have also recently submitted an EIA Screening Request to Perth & Kinross Council.
